Are these templates really free?
Yes. A free template costs nothing to remix: it copies the whole site — pages, images and CMS content — into your FNJ account, and all you need is a free FNJ account.
Why do creators give templates away?
Because a free template can pay them later. When someone who remixed it goes on to subscribe to FNJ, its creator earns 50% of what that customer pays FNJ, for 12 months. It costs the person remixing nothing.
Do I need Framer to use them?
No. A remixed template lives in your FNJ account, where you edit it visually. No Framer plan is involved at any point.
Can I get the code?
Yes. A site in your FNJ account can be downloaded as code — static HTML or a Next.js project — and hosted wherever you like, or deployed from FNJ to your own hosting account.
What's the difference between a free and a paid template?
How you get it. A free template remixes straight from its listing; a paid one is sold by its creator through their own checkout, and they send you the remix link after you buy. Either way, a complete copy lands in your account.
