Host a Framer site on Render
To host a Framer site on Render, convert it to HTML with FNJ, push the files to a Git repository and create a Render static site from it. Static sites are free to deploy on Render, but a Hobby workspace includes 5 GB of outbound bandwidth a month, shared across everything in it.
Convert your Framer site
Paste the published address. FNJ converts it from its public pages, so you don't share the Framer project, and you can preview the result before downloading it.
Example: https://your-site.framer.website
How to put it on Render
- 1Convert and push to Git
Convert the site to HTML in FNJ, download it, and push the files to a GitHub or GitLab repository.
- 2Create a static site
In Render's dashboard choose New → Static Site, connect the repository, leave the build command empty and set the publish directory to the folder that holds index.html.
- 3Add your domain
Add it under the site's custom domains; Render issues TLS and redirects HTTP to HTTPS.
What Render gives you
| Free plan | Hobby workspace ($0). 5 GB of outbound bandwidth a month, shared across the workspace. 500 build-pipeline minutes a month. Over the bandwidth without a payment method, Render spins the workspace's services down until next month. |
|---|---|
| Business use on the free plan | Not stated for static sites. |
| Cheapest paid plan | Pro is $25 a month per workspace, with 25 GB of bandwidth; extra bandwidth is $0.15 a GB. |
| From FNJ | Download the HTML, then: static site from a git repository. |

Before you move
- 5 GB a month is small for a busy marketing site, and it's shared with every other service in the workspace.
- One thing doesn't move: both of FNJ's exports keep Framer's runtime, loaded from Framer's servers, so animations and interactions still come from Framer. Keep the Framer project published. If those files stopped loading, the pages and text would stay but the motion would stop.
FAQ
Can I host a Framer site on Render for free?
Yes, as a static site on a Hobby workspace, within 5 GB of bandwidth a month across the workspace. Without a payment method, Render spins services down for the rest of the month once that's used.
Can Render run the Next.js export?
Yes, as a web service for a full Next.js app with server logic, but free web service instances spin down after 15 minutes without traffic. For a converted Framer site, a static site is the better fit.
